Saint George Way First Floor
Project Summary
- Location: Brookeville, Maryland
- Challenge: This first-floor renovation focused on improving flow and creating stronger focal points. This started with a reconfiguration of major appliances that positioned the range as the centerpiece. To open the space, we removed a wall while thoughtfully integrating necessary mechanicals so the layout could feel expansive without sacrificing performance. A custom arched white oak pocket door elevates the pantry, adding warmth and architectural character. One of the bigger challenges was an exposed mechanical wall. This was transformed into a purposeful feature by using brick-like tile and floating shelves to create an intentional, functional bar corner. The result is a first floor that feels open, refined, and designed around how the homeowners live.
